IWFM Live Conference 2026

A few members of the Envirotech FM team attended IWFM Live! 2026 in London, joining facilities management professionals from across the UK for a day of learning, networking and thought-provoking discussions.

The event brought together industry leaders to explore some of the biggest topics shaping Facilities Management today, from leadership and sustainability to technology, workplace strategy and the future of the profession. It was an excellent opportunity to hear fresh perspectives, exchange ideas and connect with others who are equally passionate about the industry.

One of the strongest messages we took away from the day was the growing recognition of the value Facilities Management brings to organisations. FM has always been an essential part of keeping businesses operating safely and efficiently, but much of what we do happens behind the scenes. It was encouraging to hear how the industry is gaining greater recognition as businesses increasingly understand the strategic role FM plays in creating safe, productive and sustainable workplaces.

A key topic throughout the conference was the ongoing skills shortage facing the FM sector. There were some insightful discussions around attracting new talent, investing in professional development and ensuring the industry continues to grow with the skilled workforce it needs for the future.

We also had the opportunity to hear from an excellent line-up of speakers, including Mark Whittaker CIWFM, Chris Jeffers FIWFM FRICS, Jonty Bloom, Tess Cope and Linda Hausmanis, whose presentations provided valuable insight into the future direction of Facilities Management.
